Activities and Support over the festive season

The festive season can be a time full of joy and reflection on the year, but often it is also a time where a bit more support is needed. We’ve compiled some ways to both give and receive support, as well as some fun activities to celebrate the year.

Food Support:

  • Glasgow South East Food Bank: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 12.30pm-2pm, closed from Friday 23 December to Tuesday 3 January

Warm Spaces:

Campaigns and Fundraisers:

  • Warm Up Christmas Appeal (The Well) 
    The Well’s Warm Up Christmas Appeal is raising funds to support ethnic minority communities in South East Glasgow through the winter and Cost of Living Crisis. Click here for more info

  • Gift Friendship (Glasgow Women’s Library) 
    A Gift Friendship is a gift to a Friend as well as to the many different women who benefit from GWL’s projects and services every day. Gift a GWL Friendship this season and help support their life-changing work. Click here for more info

  • Weekend Club Christmas Appeal 2022 (Interfaith Glasgow)
    This year, give a gift you know will be loved! Interfaith Glasgow are fundraising for Christmas presents for the families who participate in their Weekend Club for refugees and asylum seekers and for the ongoing work of the project. Click here for more info.
