Common Thread Vision

Common Tread Vision seeks to bring people from all backgrounds and ethnic minority community members from the Southside and surrounding areas to participate in health and wellbeing activities, reducing social isolation and loneliness.

The Project provides a supportive, respectful, and culturally safe space for everyone. Over 50+ have a language problem, this group gives them a sense of belonging.
They deliver activities to promote health and wellbeing and foster a greater community understanding.

Once a week in the Hai Chai Group, everyone gets together for a meal and a chat, a chance to meet others. During the meal there is music and if anyone wishes to sing, they can do so. They have Yoga which covers dance and fitness as well, and a Massage Group.
People from the ethnic minority background are one of the most deprived and excluded groups. These members cultural needs are not catered for through mainstream service provision in Glasgow.
