Home Start Glasgow South

Home start glasgow south logo

Home Start is a family support charity based in the South Side of Glasgow – its volunteers provide personally tailored support to local families who need a helping hand.

'Dads Group is Cool'

SEIN funding went towards staff costs, volunteer travel & training expenses & rent & materials for groups, such as Creative Play & Dad’s group.

“Home-Start Glasgow South supported 328 disadvantaged and vulnerable families, with 702 children, living in the south east of Glasgow during 2018/19. Our Dads’ Co-ordinator has launched the first dads specific Antenatal Workshop in Glasgow in the New Victoria Hospital. Dads’ can attend from any area of South Glasgow. Each workshop lasts 4 weeks and since launch in December 2018, 46 dads have attended. Feedback has been incredibly positive.”
