Greater Govanhill CIC

Greater Govanhill is a new FREE magazine, that will be available both in print and online, that celebrates the differences that make Govanhill so special, shining a light on the people and projects at work in the area, and bringing them together.

Workshops, training and events will also enable the residents of Govanhill to feed into the magazine, empowering people to tell their own stories in their own words. The magazine will provide a platform for under-represented voices. The purpose of the magazine is to help to unify the different communities in Govanhill to create a more cohesive identify for the neighbourhood. We hope that by doing so we will also help to increase pride in the area and challenge negative stereotypes that can be so damaging.

We've put some helpful information up on our website about the booklet that has been sent to every household in Scotland - A Guide To NHS Scotland Services. Links to translated copies of the booklet, & info about interpreting services & vaccinations. 🧑🏾‍⚕️🗣️
