Bridging the Gap

Bridging the Gap is a community organisation based in Gorbals, working alongside people in the local community and beyond.

Our energy is focused around three main areas of work: Developing Young People; a Schools Transition Programme and anti-sectarian work in 14 primary schools and the 2 designated secondary schools in the South East of Glasgow. Promoting Community Cohesion; A BIG Thursday drop in, a monthly community meal, cooked for the community by the community and a High Rise Bakers, a bread making project. Supporting Families; 2 x ½ day baby and toddler groups each week. Relationships lie at the heart of our work and from the very outset, we have recognised the importance of focusing on what are the skills and gifts that are present in our neighbourhood and to foster the commitment to tackle our challenges together.
