TRC – Glasgow-based training body for TV & digital media – are looking for applicants for a 10 month paid placement with a production company:
We are on the hunt for people who are not working in TV, but who love television, are inquisitive, hardworking and enjoy being part of a team… If this sounds like you then why not consider becoming a television researcher?
‘rad’ is a 10month training course where you will be paid to work full time with a Scottish TV production company and will be supported to learn the skills needed to help you become a professional television researcher.
Who is this for?
The TV industry is changing and we are looking to be more diverse in our recruitment, this is why rad is targeted at people from disadvantaged backgrounds, those who have disabilities, or people from black, Asian and ethnic minority communities.
rad is aimed at people who have a bunch of skills and experience from other walks of life. You might be re-entering the workforce after time off? Maybe you’ve had a period of redundancy? Have you graduated from school, college or university but haven’t been able to get a start in the subjects you studied? You could be working in other sectors like: customer service, science, childcare, retail, teaching, healthcare, marketing, construction – the possibilities are endless.
You must be over 18 and not in full time education.
What’s involved?
There are 7 positions available, each based in a TV production company in Scotland. The contract will last for 10 months, beginning on January/February 2019. The salary will be the Scottish Living Wage, £8.75/hour.
